Everything You Need to Know About CBD

The 3 Most Common Mistakes When Buying CBD

1. Beware of “Hemp Seed Oil”

Popular websites such as amazon.com sell “hemp seed oil” for very cheap, but don’t get confused, it is an entirely different product. Although commonly grouped in the same category, hemp oil and CBD oil are not the same thing. As stated earlier CBD oil contains cannabidiol, the compound commonly known for its potential relaxing effects on the body. CBD is extracted from the hemp plant flower and is usually combined with a base oil (coconut). Hemp oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant and does not contain CBD, or any other cannabinoids. When purchasing CBD oil make sure to check the ingredients on the label. If it’s made from “hemp seed” it’s not CBD.

2. Make sure you know what you're getting in the bottle

Many people have purchased CBD without even knowing what’s truly in their bottle. Before buying always ask to see 3rd party test results on the CBD. If the company does not have those results DO NOT BUY. Test results for CBD should show it’s purity, it’s THC content, and the date on which it was tested.

3. Buy from a reputable GMP certified brand.

When purchasing CBD you want to buy from a reputable brand that you can trust has the highest standard of quality. A GMP certified product stands for “Good Manufacturing Product.” When buying CBD check the brands website for a GMP certification. GMP certified products are held to the highest standards within the industry and signify that the company you are buying from is legitimate.
